A Brief Outline of the Syllabus                                                     Return

15 teaching/practical days: Acupuncture theory, including an overview of the philosophical views and different traditions.

This will include: Practice protocols, Rules, Safety, Ethics, Diagnosis and treatment planning.

Observing practitioners/colleagues. Needling, Point location, Pulse taking, Palpation, Cupping, Using heat.

Energy skills: Learning to sense the dynamics of qi (energy) and the development of healing through sensitivity and intention.

At this college we acknowledge, practice and discuss the healing dimension of acupuncture....... unbelievably some don't.

5 Clinical days:

Student supervised practice followed by group discussion and learning appropriate to any issues we encounter.

After you Qualify

CPD is valuable, interesting and enjoyable. Once in practice we encourage you to keep on learning and we will run plenty of extra days for our graduates (and others) to do once they are qualified.

Possible CPD Subjects for One Day Courses Are:

Feedback & discussion days to talk about your cases and your practice. Ear acupuncture & detox for addiction. Facial revitalisation (cosmetic) acupuncture. Acupuncture for women, fertility and pregnancy. Weight loss techniques. Treating skin conditions and allergies. Learning more points, pulses & practical skills. Massage and bodywork.
