Cosmetic Acupuncture Training Course

The Original One Day Course with Jamie Hedger Costs just £94

Jamie is a very experienced teacher and has been running his FRA course for 10 years. More than 1000 acupuncturists have attended this one day course, it covers the basic knowledge, materials and techniques you need to practice FRA. The course has changed slightly over time, with less use of electro-acupuncture now.

Next Scheduled Day: Monday 20th Sept 2010.

Venue: Healing & Acupuncture College, Hove. See "The College" above for directions. 9.45am - 5.00pm.

Schedule: the day is split into 50% lecture/demonstration and 50% practical workshop (notes provided).

Booking: You need to make full payment to reserve your place. Refunds are possible until 30 days before the course runs. Payment can be made by cheque or online by clicking on "Card Payments" above. Note that once there are fewer than 30 days until the course date. No refunds are possible for any reason and neither can you transfer to another day without paying for it. If you find that you cannot come on a day you have paid for you can try and find someone else who is qualified to come to take your place and pay you directly for it. You need to inform us if this is the case.

Certificate: All participants are issued with a certificate of attendance, this course is good CPD for acupuncturists.

Open To: Acupuncture students / Physiotherapists / Acupuncturists etc. Participants will need some basic knowledge of acupuncture theory (of whatever kind 5E/TCM/Japanese) and very importantly some experience of body needling. It is assumed that participants are professionals or due to graduate as such. The FRA certificate alone will not qualify you to practice acupuncture and insure yourself.

Note: The course includes some massage techniques and participants are encouraged to develop their own protocol using the information and skills in their own way. We cover various options for face needling including deeper needling and electro-acupuncture. However, this course does not include the very invasive twisting and pinning of the skin sometimes associated with cosmetic acupuncture. The emphasis is on finding an appropriate treatment to suit an individual patient and not on a standard multi-needle protocol. We also look at alternative treatments for those patients/practitioners who wish to use less invasive methods. See also: Skills DVD

Max 12:1 teacher / student ratio. Please bring some needles (Good quality with guide tube 13mm and 25mm length X 0.20 gauge approx) and an electro machine if you have one.

I often get enquiries from people with no previous experience who wish to learn cosmetic acupuncture. But you do need a good grounding in health and safety and theory as well as needle skills to do this course and obtain insurance. If you wish to do FRA then its worth considering my full 6 month course and then the FRA day. This will give you a thorough grounding in acupuncture and the specialist FRA skills for around £2k.
